CHROMAGUARD CUSTOM COATINGS

Terms of Sale

Effective date: 1st September 2026

These terms explain how we accept and fulfil orders, the responsibilities associated with coating products, and your rights if something goes wrong. They apply to purchases from ChromaGuard Custom Coatings where provided before you agree to buy.

1.  Seller and contact details

ChromaGuard Custom Coatings is operated by A&B Building Services Pty Ltd, ABN 70 152 812 612 (we, us or our).

Website: www.chromaguard.com.au
Email: info@chromaguard.com.au
Telephone: 0494 798 873

We supply coating products and related goods. A supplier may prepare, dispatch or release your order from its warehouse on our behalf. We remain your contact for your purchase. Product sales do not include site preparation, installation or application unless separately agreed in writing.

2.  Quotes and orders

Check the product, pack size, components, quantity, colour and delivery or pickup option before placing an order. Let us know promptly if anything is incorrect. Requesting a quote or making an enquiry does not commit you to a purchase. Quotes remain valid for the period stated in the quote.

Your order is an offer to purchase. An automated receipt confirms that we received it. We accept your order when we expressly confirm acceptance in writing or send a dispatch or ready-for-pickup confirmation. If we cannot accept an order, we will notify you promptly and refund payments for the unaccepted items and their associated delivery charges.

Any additional order-specific conditions will be provided before you agree to purchase. An expressly agreed written condition takes priority over an inconsistent general term, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3.  Prices and payment

Website prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Delivery charges are shown at checkout or agreed by quote before you commit to delivery. Payment is required before dispatch or collection unless other payment terms are agreed in writing.

If a material pricing, description or availability error is identified before acceptance, we will explain it and seek your agreement to a corrected order or refund your payment. We will not automatically charge an additional amount. Once an order is accepted, we will not increase the agreed price or substitute goods without your agreement. These provisions do not override applicable pricing laws or your contractual rights.

4.  Product selection and technical information

Tell us your intended use, substrate, existing coatings and any critical performance requirements when asking for advice. Before use, read the applicable Safety Data Sheet (SDS), Technical Data Sheet (TDS), label and product instructions. Contact us if documents are missing or unclear, or if instructions appear inconsistent.

Correct storage, preparation, mixing, application and curing are important to performance. The person applying the coating must have the necessary skills, equipment and safety controls. General product information does not replace an assessment of actual site conditions. These requirements do not remove our responsibility for goods supplied or advice and representations we make, including recommendations you reasonably rely on.

Check whether the selected product includes a complete kit or individual components. Follow the specified mixing ratio and application requirements. Coverage estimates depend on the substrate, application method and film thickness. Specialist performance, including ESD-related or slip-resistant properties, may depend on a complete specified system and testing. Supply of an individual component does not itself certify an installation; tell us before ordering if certification or a particular standard is required.

5.  Colours and custom orders

Colour availability depends on the product and pack size. A listed standard or pre-set colour may still be tinted to order. Supply the complete colour name or code and the relevant colour system where requested. We will clarify ambiguous or unavailable selections before tinting; a typed request does not by itself confirm that a colour can be supplied.

Screen images are guides. Lighting, gloss, texture, substrate and application can affect perceived colour. For a critical match, ask about a physical sample before ordering the full quantity. We will confirm sample availability, cost and lead time. These factors do not excuse supplying the wrong colour or failing to meet an agreed description or sample.

Contact us promptly to request an amendment or cancellation. We will confirm what is possible. Voluntary cancellation may not be available once preparation, tinting, special procurement or dispatch has begun. Any discretionary cancellation fee or deduction must be explained and agreed in advance. This does not restrict cancellation or refund rights provided by law.

6.  Delivery and warehouse pickup

Delivery options are shown at checkout for eligible addresses and orders. If no suitable option appears, contact us for a freight quote before purchasing. Costs depend on the goods, quantity, destination, access and transport requirements. Selecting pickup does not include delivery. We will not charge additional freight without your agreement.

Pickup is available for eligible orders from supplier warehouses in Sydney and Melbourne, subject to stock at the selected location. Wait for a ready-for-pickup confirmation before travelling. We will provide the collection address, hours and required order reference or authority. Supplier warehouses are not necessarily ChromaGuard shops or walk-in showrooms.

Some products require dangerous-goods handling or specialist transport. Follow the SDS and collection instructions, and contact us before arranging your own carrier.

7.  Timing and delivery problems

Lead times may include tinting or procurement as well as dispatch and transit. Unless expressly guaranteed, timeframes are estimates. We will communicate material delays and discuss available options. If we cannot supply accepted goods, we will agree an alternative or refund the unavailable items and associated delivery charges. Your legal remedies for delay or non-delivery remain unaffected.

Provide accurate delivery details and advise us of access or unloading restrictions. Where a failed delivery results from incorrect details you supplied or an agreed access requirement not being met, we may request the reasonable additional carrier cost. We will explain and agree any rebooking charge before proceeding. We will not charge you for our own or our fulfilment provider’s error.

Contact us if goods are missing, incorrect, damaged or leaking. Photograph the goods and packaging only if safe, and retain relevant labels where practical. Prompt reporting helps us investigate, but a delay in reporting does not automatically remove your statutory rights. We will coordinate with the supplier or carrier. Dispatch alone does not end our responsibility for delivery we arrange.

8.  Returns and consumer guarantees

We do not generally accept change-of-mind returns, including surplus stock, unwanted goods or a colour you selected correctly but no longer want. This also applies to custom-tinted and specially ordered goods. Any voluntary return must be agreed with us, including its conditions and freight arrangements.

These restrictions do not apply to remedies required by law. Tinted, opened or used products may still qualify where there is a product problem. A product or colour supplied incorrectly by us is not a change-of-mind return.

Where Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply, a major failure entitles you to choose a refund or replacement, or retain the goods and seek compensation for reduced value. For a minor failure, we may choose an appropriate remedy and must provide it within a reasonable time. Further remedies may apply if we do not. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by a failure. A manufacturer warranty is additional to these rights.

Contact us with your order number or other proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Photos and batch details are helpful if available. We may reasonably assess the goods and ask relevant storage or application questions.

Contact us before returning coatings so safe transport can be arranged. We arrange collection or pay appropriate transport costs for faulty goods that are heavy or difficult to return, and reimburse reasonable return costs for a confirmed product problem. No restocking fee applies to a statutory remedy. We will not substitute store credit for a refund you are entitled to. Refunds use the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

9.  Legal rights and policy changes

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts a right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Eligible business purchases may also attract consumer guarantees. The terms provided when you order apply to that order; later updates apply to future orders unless otherwise agreed, without reducing mandatory rights.

New South Wales law and applicable Commonwealth law govern these terms. This does not remove mandatory protections or access to a court or tribunal available under applicable law. For enquiries or complaints, contact info@chromaguard.com.au.
